Okay, so before I lost all interest in LJ () I would occasionally feature oneshots of a certain theme or ones that just really caught my attention. Well, I decided to do so here, but I'm altering it a bit: this time, I'm featuring Naruto AUs that have really snagged my attention. And I'm posting more than the usual five. Hopefully you can find one that you like. Some will be from ff.net and some will be from here, so no matter what accounts you have there should be something for you.

1) Time and Again by KyLewin
Time Travel fic. In a war torn future, in the burning ruins of Konohagakure, Naruto fights Orochimaru and loses as the world collapses around him. From that ending comes a new beginning and a new chance to set things right, if only he can figure out how...
((As new as I am to the fic, it's pretty freaking sweet. And hey, there's a sequel.))

2) Way of the Ninja by *watashi-no-nindo
The journey of Konoha's most unpredictable ninja, Uzumaki Naruto, who strives to become the village's greatest Hokage.
However, this time around, the blonde genin has more to hide than just the Fox.
((Once I started this, there was no way I could stop. With the twists to the original plot and the ever-lovable 'Naru', I was sucked right in.))

3) Crisis by Lady Kyoshoku
Two competing companies have somehow created the end of our world, and there's nothing left to do but fight for survival and try to start over. I never expected anything of my life, but then I met him... The one that would help me end it all. AU, ItaSaku.
((I liked this one enough to offer to beta. That hardly ever happens.))

4) Vessel by RiikiTikiTavi
In order to further their plans, the Akatsuki need a vessel. But jinchuuriki vessels always start out as babies... Warning, much bashing of clichés within!
((Poking fun at clichés always makes my day. It even has a not!sequel.))

5) Fiach Dubh by Vesper chan
Sakura receives a surprise visitor that turns her world upsidedown with a claim too wild to believe. What could he possibly mean when he says he's her devoted servant, and what's this about an inherited curse? SakuraxManyxIta AU
((Good enough for me to overlook errors that would normally send me running for the hills.))

6) Within the Messages by Sariasprincy
When a mass murderer threatens Japan, Itachi and his team must figure out his messages before he kills again. But no one would ever guess the murderer was so close and when Sakura gets involved, her life depends on the end of the case. ItaSaku AU Modern
((Nothing wrong with a little mystery every now and then. See if you can figure out who the killer is before Sakura does.))

7) Gunpowder by LoneGothic
AU. In the urban decay of Konohagakure, an unwanted meeting finds Haruno Sakura tangled into the dangerous company of two criminals of the Akatsuki: one blond enigma and a man her friend wants to kill. Deidara x Sakura x Itachi
((Damn. I didn't know something could pull me in like that, but it had me from AU.))

8) Forbidden by *Lady-Hanaka
((Doesn't really have a summary. Doesn't need one. Sakura is a kick-ass Elder vampire. What more could you want? Sexy men? Got that, too. ))

9) Uneasy Coexistence by DeGlace
One grinning shark–man. One pink–haired medic. Ankles. Teeth. Kisame x Sakura. Yes, you read that right.
((I never would have found this little gem if it hadn't been for DeGlace's other fic I read, Marrow.))

10) Perception by Cynchick
The Akatsuki think Sakura will be the perfect bait to lure the Kyuubi but they get a whole lot more than they planned for. A story about the blurred line between good and evil and how what we think we know can be proven very,very wrong. ItaSaku
((It was hard to just pick one of hers, so I won't waste time trying to convince you how amazing this is. Go read her fics. Now.))

11) Somewhere I Have Never Travelled, Gladly Beyond by Wyntermute
Naruto had been bragging all day that his new jutsu was his best yet. Sakura and her new situation beg to differ. Post timeskip. DeiSaku.
((Been a while since I read it, but it's pretty fantastic. For their personalities, the situation is believable.))

12) Loophole by leafygirl
Sakura formulates her own plan to get Sasuke back. Unfortunately, using Itachi as part of the plan is a huge gamble. Itasaku. Spoilers up to manga 235
((Should have seen it coming. She had more than one good AU as well, but considering how much of an ItaSaku fan I am...))

13) House of Crows by SilverShine
KakaSaku. War is coming to Konoha and Sakura is far from home, uncertain of her future. But one thing is for sure, Sakura will protect her unborn child at all costs, whether it be from Konoha's enemies... or from its own father.
((Love this work to death. It's so plausible it hurts. And gasp! I like her Sasuke.))
